About Debbie Joy
I feel I’m living a very interesting life mainly because I do what I have found to be something I love in life. I am a full time professional Celebrant.
I was appointed as a Civil Marriage Celebrant by the Attorney General Department and am also a Justice of the Peace (JP Qual).
Being a very sociable lady, I love meeting new people and in my role as a Celebrant I am able to indulge my passion for planning and creating romantic, personalised marriage ceremonies or Celebration of Life services.
Please take the time to look at my website and feel free to contact me. I am more than happy to talk about something I enjoy. Through my professional training and love of what I do, I can make those special occasions in life, less stressed and more enjoyable for you.

Thank you Debbie for your help in organising our wedding ceremony. We are very grateful for all your assistance and we were pleased to have shared our special day with you. You gave us ample freedom to design a ceremony which was very personal and we were happy that all of our requests and wording were able to be used. We thought that you did a great job, providing just the right amount of humour, seriousness and formality. We also really appreciated your calm approach during the ceremony which enabled us to forget our nerves and repeat our vows. We have no hesitation in recommending you to our family & friends. Thanks again for being part of our special day.

Thank you Debbie for you continued support of our growing family by now not only having married us but being our celebrant for the naming of our beautiful Ella Joy. Once again you did a fantastic job and the afternoon was enjoyed by all our family & friends. Again we are so happy you could be part of this special occasion and look forward to more in the future as our family grows!!

I wanted to say a special Thankyou for all your support at Mum’s funeral service last Friday. It was just how she would have wanted it, simple and ‘to the heart’.She was such a special lady and your service reflected her beautiful qualities. My husband David reminded me of your poem you read at the beginning of the service, when he saw me upset and I would appreciate if you could send me a copy of it and Mum’s eulogy, if you still have it. You are gifted in what you do, thankyou for being a huge comfort to us all, during our grief.

Thank you for a wonderful service for Noeleen. I appreciate everything you did leading up to the service and the service today. Everyone I talked to said that it was perfect. Noeleen would have approved.Once again, Thank you for everything.

Thank you very much for the wonderful service you did for my Mum Friday past. I have had so much feedback from people who attended on how well delivered and fitting the service was and I now totally agree that saying the lords prayer at the end was the right thing to do.
I’m very sorry that I haven’t contacted you and sent my thanks earlier as this week the passing of Mum has hit mw with full force and I decided that my brain and body needed to go AWOL for a little while. however I have a bright little girl to look after and I’ve had to come back down to reality, grieve in private, and do what is best for her. Unfortunately by Sunday last week the poor little thing was feeding off me so it wasn’t pleasant to be in this household.
So thank you once again! I feel that Mum would have loved to meet you and given you a huge hug and kiss for that beautiful service. My whole family where over the moon! Thank you!

Funeral and Keepsakes & Tributes
Thank you again for creating such a lovely service and keepsake, for paying so much attention to our stories and incorporating them so beautifully. There were none of the mistakes, mispronunciations or misinterpretations at all, which spoiled other services I have attended. Your warmth and professionalism are certainly traits to be proud of. Thanks for leaving us smiling and grateful.

We wanted to thank you for your kind & appropriate words for Andrew’s service.
The family felt that the service & your “interpretation” of Andrew and his family was both accurate & comforting to Kathleen, which was our main objective.
David & I have, sadly, been to a lot of funerals in the last 18 months but you have a great personal touch which we appreciated.
